As Above, So Below

As Above, So Below is a body of work consisting of four parts that examine the natural world by showing the interconnected layers of life exploring those beneath our feet and above in the sky.

Each piece concentrates on a different aspect of the landscape and the life it contains. Taken together, the works encourage us to examine more carefully the places we go through every day, from the quiet complexity underneath our feet to the way birds move across the open sky.

A study into connection, rhythm, and the hidden relationships which tie the natural world together.

Forest Floor

This piece has been slowly growing and developing just like it's subejct, The Forest Floor.

We often forget to look down and notice what is beneath our feet, all the small details that make up the living world of the forest floor.

Riverbed

'Riverbed' is the second in a four part series exploring the small details, textures and often overlooked elements of nature around us.

Inspired by time spent wading through watercourses and splashing in puddles.

Canopy

In this series I have asked you to look down and notice what's beneath your feet now we are looking up and seeing the world above.

'Canopy' is an ode to trees and the joy of standing in a woodland getting covered in dappled light between the leaves.
